Life Trail Fitness Stations

Life Trail Fitness Stations are specifically designed to provide older adults and wheelchair users with the opportunity to take exercise outdoors.

Each station provides a variety of exercise options, prior to, during or after a normal walking routine. The stations are specifically designed with exercises suitable for wheelchair users. They can be used by anyone.

Life Trail is specifically designed to provide older adults with the opportunity to walk outdoors, and to stretch and strengthen their body.

The activity panels have clear illustrations and contain instructions that are printed with large type to make them easy to read.

Each fitness station carries essential information on health, the general benefits of exercise and specific medical conditions affecting older people such osteoarthritis.

Life Trail Health Walks

Walks for our older visitors wanting to improve their fitness levels. These sessions take place every Wednesday at 11.30am.
The walks are instructor led and incoporate the different marked trails the Nature Park has to offer. All those who wish to take part need to meet the instructor within the reception area of The Natural World Centre. Many of the walkers socialise over a drink in the Natural World Centre Café after the walk to wind down and catch up with their new friends.
