Explore the life and beauty of garden and wetland birds in next exhibition

Birds On The Wing

Friday 3 March to Sunday 25 June

The next exhibition at the Natural World Centre will give visitors the chance to explore the life and beauty of both garden and wetland birds.

Birds on the Wing features photography by Wildlife and Swan Photographer Anne Waterfield whose body of work ‘All about Swans’ has previously exhibited at the Discovery Centre at Clumber Park. Anne Waterfield has developed an invested passion for wildlife photography and developed a strong kinship with a particular family of swans who live at Clumber Park. Anne studied this family and other swans since February 2014 and has watched the ups and downs and has focused on a committed pair of swans which many of the photographs featured depict this observation.

There will also be a Swan Facts section which is informative and also include a mini me exhibition and trail aimed at young children. You can also guess the wingspan of a swan with using a full sized pair of Swans wings that will be on display. The closest guess will win a Natural World Centre gift voucher and goodie bag.

Confirmed accompanying artists include Willow work by Alison Walling, handmade Garden decorations by Kate Sell from Garden Reflections and stunning handmade jewellery by Angela Ibbs, unique metal sculptures by David Sharpe whose work combines recycled and found objects into stunning pieces of artwork fit for any garden or interior setting. There will also intricate hand felt work by Eve Marshall who will be running special workshops giving visitors the chance to have ago themselves.
