To raise awareness of the Stepping Out Network and to encourage their use, we host a number of events suitable for all ages! Please note that all children must be accompanied by an adult. Suitable outdoor clothing and footwear is recommended.

Dog Behaviour and Agility Walk     I     Wednesday 8 March, 2.30pm

Meeting at: Welbourn Village Hall Car Park, Beck Street, Welbourn, LN5 0LZ

It doesn’t matter how old your dog is or what your experience or training level is, you’ll be sure to learn something new! A great way to socialise for both dogs and walkers as well as a chance to learn some new skills for you and your four legged friend.

Countryside with Company     I     Tuesday 4 April, 2.30pm

Join us for a walk exploring the beautiful countryside of North Kesteven!

Meeting at: Dunston Fen Car Park. Follow the brown Stepping Out Sign on the B1188 towards Dunston Fen (Grid ref: TF 0864 6386).

Walk Length: 4 miles. Please allow roughly 2 hours to complete.

Walk Type: A circular walk around countryside and pastureland. Please note this walk has stiles on it.

Bear Hunt in Easter     I     Wednesday 5 April, 10.30 to 11.30am & 12.30 to 1.30pm

Meeting at: The Natural World Centre, Whisby Nature Park

Whisby’s going on a bear hunt. We’re going to catch a big one. Will you come too? Join the fun this Easter holiday and get your binoculars at the ready as we go bear hunting! Follow our explorers as they guide you through long wavy grass and thick squelchy mud whilst you hunt for bear clues! Can you find them all and solve the mystery code?

Cost: £4.50 per child. Booking Essential.

History Walk at Wellingore & Temple Bruer     I     Saturday 20 May, 10.30am

Join the WatchNK ranger for a history walk around Wellingore and Temple Bruer. Find out about Temple Bruer church and the history of the Knights Templar in this area, the old Wellingore airfield ad other points of historical interest along the way.

Meeting at: St John the Baptist Church, Temple Bruer, Wellingore Heath, Lincoln LN5 0DE – on a minor road between Wellingore and the A15.

Walk Length: 6 miles. Please allow roughly 2 hours to complete.

Walk Type: Footpaths and quiet country roads. Fairly easy under foot.

Meeting at: High Wood Car Park, North Rauceby

Walk Length; 4.75 miles. Please allow roughly 2.5 hours to complete.

Walk Type: A pleasant walk through open countryside, woodland and along farm tracks.
